Bettye Jane Link Penrod,76, of Adairville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield. She was a Simpson County native, born to the late Lawrence Link and Eva Cardwell Link. She worked as a seamstress with Adairville Hosiery Mill and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Penrod.
She is survived by her son, Phillip Penroc~ Adairville; her daughters ~ Janet Rakes and husband Donny ~ Stuart, Va., and Judy Tanner ~ Adairville; her brothers~ Tommy Link, Danny Link, Elbia Link, Ellis Link and Earl Link ~ all of Franklin; her sisters ~ Linda Creas, Kay McKay, and Loyal Gann ~ all of Franklin, Bonnie Vanatta of Portland, Tenn. and Alice Wells of Sharon Grove; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren
Funeral Services for Bettye Jane Link Penrod will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Freudenthal officiating and burial to follow in Russellville Memorial Gardens. Visitation at the funeral home was held Sunday evening and will resume Monday from 8 a.m. until the service hour at 11 a.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
