Ruby Shackelford Steward, 88, of Olmstead, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 at Logan Memorial Hospital. She was born in Knoxville, Tenn. on Nov. 21, 1928 to the late Alec Adrian Shackelford and Gladys Randle Shackelford. She was the assistant manager for Crop Production Services, a member of Dripping Spring Baptist Church and an avid golfer. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Steward.
She is survived by her sons ~ Richard Steward and wife Cindy ~ Lewisburg, and Todd Steward and wife, Jill ~ Bowling Green; her brothers ~ Jim Shackelford and Johnny Shackelford ~ both of Olmstead; her sisters ~ Dorothy Carter ~ Bowling Green, and Carolyn Coleman ~ Adairville; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
Funeral Services for Ruby Shackelford Steward will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Noffsinger officiating with burial to follow in Dripping Spring Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Friday, Nov. 25, from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m until the funeral hour of 11.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Dripping Spring Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
