Odell Hardison, 94, of Penrod, died on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at Maple Manor Health Care Center in Greenville.
She was born Monday, Aug. 28, 1922 in Todd County, the daughter of the late Alvin Joines and the late Vera Blake Joines. She was the wife, for 54 years, of the late Foster Hardison.
She was a homemaker, retired from Red Kap sewing factory and was a member of Penrod Baptist Church.
She was active in her church, loved her family, quilting and gardening.
She gave her heart to the Lord at the age of 14 and spent the rest of her life serving God and others. Philippians 3:14 says, “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Surviving are her sons, Russell Hardison of Lewisburg and Jewell Hardison -(Elaine) of Hopkinsville; her daughter, Margie Carver - (Buck) of Penrod; her sister, Estel Davis of Evansville; her brothers, Charlie Joines - (Pam) of Evansville, and James Joines - (Joyce) of Lewisburg; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by her daughter, Carolyn Bond.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 30, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green Street, Lewisburg, with Bro. Delbert Bryant and Bro. Brent Waltrip officiating. Burial will be in the Penrod Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. on Friday at Price Funeral Home.
