Linda Carol ‘LC’ Lawhon of Springfield passed away from life on earth to life everlasting on Friday, Feb, 3, 2017 at the Alive Hospice in Nashville. She was a Logan County native born July 28, 1949 to the late Rev. Thomas Lawhon and Manella Costello Lawhon. She spent her life in service to others whether it be working as a nurse for 45 + years, cooking for family and friends or taking care of her parents.
She is survived by her brothers ~ Daniel Lawhon and wife Sherrie ~ Birmingham, andJohn Mark Lawhon and wife Kathy ~ Richmond Hill, Ga.; her sister ~ Beverly Lawhon and friend, Margaret Ashburn ~ Nashville; her nephews ~ Brandon Lawhon andJosh Lawhon ~ both of Richmond Hill; her ‘adopted” daughter ~ Andrea Cook ~ Tampa; and her beloved dog ~ ‘Bandit’ Lawhon.
Funeral Services for Linda Carol ‘LC’ Lawhon will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Freudenthal and Bonnie Johnston officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until the service hour of 11.
