Nell Lawrence, 106, of Boyles Drive, Russellville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, Feb.23, 2017 at Logan Memorial Hospital. She was born in Dover, Tenn. on March 29, 1910 to the late Lewis Scarborough and Callie Carney Scarborough. She was a retired farmer and homemaker and was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church since 1937, making her the oldest member.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Lawrence, and daughter, Mary Lee Chapman.
She is survived by her son-in-law ~ Thomas A. Chapman ~ Allensville; her daughter ~ Charlene Webb ~ Pemberville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildre and 16-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Nell Lawrence will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Tharpe and Bro. Russ Funk officiating with burial to follow in Belmont Cemetery in Allensville. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, from 5-8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until the service time of 2 p.m.
