Nancy Smith Guion, 86, of Sportsman Club Road, Russellville, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab. She was a Logan County native, born Aug. 2, 1930 to the late Henry Smith and Margaret Ryan Smith. She was a member of the Fellowship Church of Christ, was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing bridge.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William ‘Bill’ Guion and daughter, Susan Guion Johnson.
She is survived by her son ~ David Guion and wife Sherry ~ Russellville; her daughter ~ Jane Guion Branigan and husband Mike ~ Madison, Ind.; her brother ~ Henry Smith ~ Franklin; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren
Graveside Services for Nancy Smith Guion will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 6, at Maple Grove Cemetery with Danny Williams officiating. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
