Jolene Gower Coursey, 80, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green. She was a Logan County native, born July 4, 1936 to the late Lemuel Ervin Stinson and Mary Livia Ozella Crawford Stinson. 

She was a very devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, who believed the love of family was very important in daily life. Everyone that knew her can remember her beautiful smile. She will forever be in our hearts and the wonderful memories she helped create. 

She worked for several years at Logan County Hospital as a nurse’s aide, was former co-owner of J.L.’s 79 Standard and was former owner and co-owner of Ko-Kleeners. She was a member of First Baptist Church, 6th and Main streets, in Russellville. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, J. L. Gower.

She is survived by her son ~ Lemmie Gower and wife Lyndsey ~ Springfield’ her daughter ~ Leeshell Bogle and husband Tommy ~ Russellville; her grandchildren ~ Lyndsay White and husband Dustin ~ Russellville, Casey Gower and Sydney Gower ~ both of Springfield; and her great-grandchildren ~ Braxton White and Gatlin White ~ Russellville.

Funeral Services for Jolene Gower Coursey will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Charles Roney officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Monday, March 13, from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the service hour of 1 p.m.
