Nola Tinsley Willeford, 92, of Adairville, passed away Thursday, March 23, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. She was a Logan County native, born March 13, 1925 to the late Tuck Tinsley and Nola Belle Wilkey Tinsley.
She was a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she received her Bachelors Degree and Vanderbilt University where she received her Masters Degree. She taught school for 36 years in Arkansas, Georgia, California and Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ruthven Willeford.
She is survived by her son ~ Sean Willeford and wife Lee ~ Adairville; her grandchildren ~ Joshua Willeford and wife Lori ~ Nashville, and Audrey Sublett and husband, Bobby ~ Clarksville; her great-grandchildren ~ Weston, Taylor and Lincoln Willeford and Wyatt, Levi and Hannah Sublett.
A Celebration of Life for Nola Tinsley Willeford will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Josh Willeford officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from noon until the service time of 2 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Red River Meeting House or Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
