Barbara Cowan Oberhausen, 75, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. She was a Logan County native, born Dec. 6, 1941 to the late Raymond Cowan and Rachel Baldwin Cowan. She was a teacher’s aide with the Auburn Elementary School and a member of the Living Word Church.
She was active with the Logan County Senior Citizens and sang with the Senior Gospel Heirs. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend that will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughters ~ Tammy Rastoder and husband Samir ~ Bowling Green, and Holly Lawrence and husband Zach ~ Russellville; her sister ~ Melba Allen and husband Billy ~ Adairville; her grandchildren ~ Sara Rastoder, Hannah Lawrence, Emmy Rastoder and Joshua Lawrence; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Funeral services for Barbara Cowan Oberhausen will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, at Living Word Church in Adairville with Pastor Phil Scott officiating with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville. Visitation on Saturday at Living Word Church will be held from 11 a.m. until the service hour of 2 p.m.
