Charles Henry Darden, 83, of Elkton, formerly of Logan County, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at his home.  He was born in Allensville, on Jan. 26, 1934 to the late Thomas Henry Darden and Flora Louie Darden. He was a machinist for Southern Electric, was of the Baptist faith and was an avid CB operator, known as, Silver Fox.  

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Grayson Darden, and his daughter, Pamela Darden. 

He is survived by his daughter, ~ Billie Ann Stokes ~ Elkton; his brothers, ~ David Darden ~ Louisville, and J. B. Darden ~ Clarksville; his sisters ~ Mary Elizabeth Alvarez and husband Macy, Marie Wagoner, and Clara Ann Rodriquez ~ all of Clarksville; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Charles Henry Darden will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. John Partlow officiating with burial to follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation on Wednesday at the funeral home will be held from 11 a.m. until the service hour of 2 p.m. 

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Pennyroyal Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Eugene Dill, Tristan Dill, Zack Dill, Trevor Sowell, Tyler Hopkins and Robert Lucio
