Clara Jean Ellis Head, 82, of Lewisburg, died April 12, 2017 of natural causes at Creekwood Place nursing & Rehab in Russellville.

She was born Oct. 16, 1934 at Spa, in Logan County, to the late Willie Langford and Lena Mae White Ellis.

She was a 1953 graduate of Lewisburg High School. She was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family. She was a sweet soul that will be very much missed by her extended family and friends.

She married the love of her life, Ray Harvey Head, Oct. 29, 1955 in Logan County. He preceded her in death Jan. 1, 2015.

She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Russellville.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Brodie Mae Costello, Ida Ozella Ellis, Luella Inola Penrod, Mildred Marie Jenkins, and her brothers, Charles Taft Ellis, Ted Clayton Ellis, John Willie Langford Ellis, Theodore Lee Ellis, Alvin Terry Ellis, Logan Cornett Ellis.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Fay Head, in 1962.

She is survived by her sons, Danny Ray Head of Lewisburg, and David Keith (Debbie) Head of Adairville and her daughter, Pamela Kay Head of Lewisburg; her grandsons, Marlon Conner (Melanie) of Lewisburg, David Stallings (Andrea) of Russellville, and Brandon Woodward (Laura) of Grayson County; her granddaughters, Alicia Jene 'A.J' (Alan) Jones of Russellville, and Kristi (Chris) Richmond of Russellville.

Her visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, beginning at 10 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m. at Price Funeral Home, Inc. in Lewisburg, with Bro. Scott Marshall officiating.

Burial will be in the Head Cemetery, Coopertown Road, Russellville.
