Helon Yates Perry, 88, of Breathitt Street, Russellville, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green. She was a Logan County native, born March 28, 1929 to the late Walter Everett Yates and Lennie Carmack Yates. She worked as a seamstress at the Adairville Hosiery Mill for a number of years and was a member of Berea Christian Church.
She is survived by her son ~ Robert Perry and wife Gail ~ Yuma, Ariz.; her grandson ~ Josh Perry and wife, Mollie ~ Fullerton, Calif.; a special sister-in-law ~ Alice Yates; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Helon Yates Perry will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Lovell officiating with burial to follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Monday, April 24, from 4-7 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the service hour of 1 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
