Frank Boarman, 92, an Ohio County native, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Hearthstone Place in Elkton. He was retired as president of Southern Tank and Manufacturing Company in Owensboro, was of the Catholic Faith, was a Navy Submarine World War II Veteran and was a member of the Lions Club for 50-plus years.

As a member of the Lions Club he had served as District Governor and President of the Lions Club Eye Foundation. He was instrumental in building a historical memorial for Captain Mush Morton, which is currently located at the VFW in Owensboro.

He is survived by his wife of71 years ~ Mary Ruth Boarman; his sons, David Allen Boarman and Michael Glen Boarman, both of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Steven Joseph Boarman and wife, Lisa ~ Lewisburg; his daughter ~ Judy Cox ~ Lexington; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Frank Boarman will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home. Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday, beginning at 3 p.m. and lasting until the service hour of 6 p.m.

 

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Lewisburg Lions Club. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
