Davy Lee Dawson Dockins, 88, of Franklin Rd., Russellville, passed away Tuesday June 6, 2017 at her home. She was a Logan County native, born Sept. 14, 1928 to the late Logan Andrew Dawson and Hattie Corrine Mann Dawson. She was a graduate of Auburn University where she was one of the first female pharmacists to graduate and be licensed in the state of Kentucky. She was a pharmacist for over 50 years, working for numerous pharmacies, and was a member of the Crittenden Drive Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years – Frank Dockins Jr. ~ Russellville; her sons ~ Harris Dockins and wife Sharon and Dave Dockins and wife Paige ~ all of Russellville; her brother ~ Henry Dawson ~ Atlanta; and her grandchildren ~ Frank Harris Dockins IV of Nashville, Lee Dockins of Russellville and John Logan Dockins of Montgomery, Ala.
Funeral services for Davy Lee Dawson Dockins will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday June 8, 2017 at Summers Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Harp and Bro Steve McCarley officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
