Alma Delores ‘Blue Eyes” Yeager Hager, 83, of Boyles Drive, Russellville, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab in Russellville. She was a West Virginia native, born Dec. 24, 1933 to the late Wilburn Yeager and Mary Chandler Yeager. She worked for the US Post Office in Branchland, W.V. for many years and retired from Civil Service in Huntsville, Ala. in 1999.
She is survived by her daughters~ Barbara J. Adkins and Bill Hall ~ Ashland, and Joy Holton Ray and Bruce Ray ~ Huntington, W.V.; her sister ~ Maggie Johnson ~ Russellville; her grandsons ~ James J. Adkins II ~ Owens Cross Roads, Ala. and Kenny Holton and Heather ~ Coal Grove, Ohio; her great-grandchildren ~ Victoria Adkins, Jasmine Adkins, Isabella Holton, Logan Holton; and her step-great-grandson ~ Dustin Reid.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Norris Jr. Yeager, and half-sister, Connie Settle.
Graveside services for Alma Delores “Blue Eyes” Yeager Hager will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 23, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, W.V.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
