James Delbert Brigance, 79, of Keeton Road, Russellville, passed away Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was a Logan County native, born Dec. 5, 1937 to the late James William Brigance and Nellie Mae Cornelius Brigance. He worked as a Unit Operator for TVA and was a member of O’Roark United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife ~ Nancy Ogles Brigance; his son ~ Jeff Brigance ~ Goodlettsville, Tenn.; his daughter ~ Jackie Pursley and husband Kevin ~ Russellville; his sisters ~ Joyce Ann Scott ~ Russellville, and Nancy Lou Steele ~ Hopkinsville; and his devoted cat – Clacie.
Funeral services for James Delbert Brigance will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Travis Bryan and Rev. Kent Akin officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Sunday, Aug. 13, from 5-8 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m.
