John Alfred Holder, 77, of Mimosa Lane, Russellville, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 at Logan Memorial Hospital. He was a Logan County native, born Feb. 4, 1940 to the late Norvil Denton Holder and Alma Ray Bilyeu. He was a maintenance worker for Carpenter Company and member of Living Word Church.
He is survived by hiswife of 58 years ~ Minnie Holder; his son~ Randy Holder and wife Beverly ~ Adairville; his daughters ~ Sheila Holder Wilson and husband Randy ~ Auburn, and Kim Skipworth and husband Jason ~ Adairville; his sister ~ Jennie Moneyhan ~ Springfield; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Sherman Holder and Roger Dale Holder, and his sister, Faye Allen.
Funeral services for John Alfred Holder will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 8, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Scott officiating with burial to follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until the service hour of 11 a.m.
