Jimmy Wayne Johnson, 69, of Duncan Chapel Road, Auburn, passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at his home. He was a Logan County native, born April 23, 1948 to the late Thomas Johnson and Vera Olsby Graham. He worked in maintenance for Griffin Industries and was a member of Keysburg Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Abney Johnson; his sons, Greg Johnson of Selmer, Tenn. and Jeff Johnson of Russellville; his daughter, Ruth Kirby of Auburn; his brother, Mike Johnson of Delaware; his half-brother, Robert Lee Graham of Auburn; his half-sister, Gina Graham of Russellville; his grandson, Hunter Lee Johnson; his granddaughter, Jessica Kirby; and his great-granddaughter, Hallie Rice.
Funeral services for Jimmy Wayne Johnson will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with David Griffin officiating. The burial site will be announced later. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Tuesday from noon until time of the service at 2 p.m.
