Morris E. Kisselbaugh, 87, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab after a short illness. He was a Logan County native, born Dec. 28, 1929 to the late Eula Mae Fleming Kisselbaugh and George Jacob Kisselbaugh. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, serving in the 58th Bridge Company.

After serving as Assistant Chief for the Russellville Police Department, he was elected Logan County Sheriff from 1978 to 1982, followed by two terms as the Logan County Jailer before retiring. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and member of American Legion Post 29.  

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Warren, Bowden and David Kisselbaugh; his sisters, Alma Rager and Joyce Kisselbaugh, and his half-brother, Bill Nash.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy Kisselbaugh; his son, Morris Lynn Kisselbaugh and wife Jane of Russellville; his daughters. Donna Stuart of Russellville and Debbie Smith and husband Ricky of Virginia Beach, Va.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services for Morris E. Kisselbaugh will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, at Green Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. Calvin Naylor officiating with burial to follow in Green Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.  

Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home will be held Friday from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service hour.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
