Corinne Humphries, age 78, of East 9th Street, Russellville, Ky. passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Hearthstone Place Nursing Facility in Elkton. She was a Todd County native, born Nov. 20, 1935 to the late George Stokes and Estie Eula Stigall Stokes. She along with her husband owned and operated Humphries Jewelry in Russellville, was a member of First Baptist Church, 6th and Main Street, where she was active in the “Young at Heart Group,” and along with her husband was a member of the Antique Car Club.

She is survived by her husband – Marion Humphries, three sons – David Humphries – (Janet) – Sharpsburg, Ga., Bob Humphries – (Patti) – Baltimore, Md. andAndy Humphries – (Rhonda) – Buda, Texas; her daughter – Nancy Bolster – Elkton; her sister – Sue Harris – Elkton; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services for Corinne Humphries will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 27 in First Baptist Church, 6th and Main streets with Bro. Buddy Crabtree officiating and burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home will be held Wednesday, March 26 from 5-8 p.m. and on Thursday at the church beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting until the service hour.

 

Donations may be made to First Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available.

 

Pallbearers will be Kyle Kemp, D. J. Humphries, Christopher Humphries, Bob Canfield, Sheldon Baugh and Billy Humphries.
