Lula Mae Johns, 84, of Coopertown Road, Russellville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green. She was born in Lancaster on Feb. 14, 1933 to the late Elisha Fred Grider and Bertha Gibson Grider. She worked 25 years at Carpenter Co. and was a member of Center Baptist Church where she was the Benevolence Clerk and member of W.O.M.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years just 11 days earlier, Edward Russell Johns.
She is survived by her son, Leslie Johns of Russellville; her daughter, Janice White and her husband, Bro. Donnie White, of Russellville; her brother, Harold Grider of Smyrna, Tenn.; her grandchildren, Kristy White, Karen White and Brian Johns; and her great-grandchildren, Tyson White and Bria Johns.
Funeral services for Lula Mae Johns will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Don E. White officiating with burial to follow in Russellville Memorial Gardens. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the service time.
