Malta Sears Moore, 86, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 at NHC Murfreesboro in Murfreesboro, Tenn. She was born in Todd County on Sept. 29, 1931 to the late Warren Guy Sears and Gola Settle Sears. She was the church secretary for Crittenden Drive Church of Christ and was a member of the Fellowship Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband Winston Dorris Moore.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Glenn More and his wife Cyndi of Russellville; her daughter, Regina Moore Williamson and her husband Steve of Smyrna, Tenn.; her brothers, Wendell Sears of Clifty and Clayton Sears and Edward Sears, both of Shepherdsville; her sister, Patie Edwards of Clifty; her grandchildren, John Williamson, Sarah Graves, Winston Coots and Olivia Moore; and her great-grandchildren, Samuel and Abby Graves.
Funeral services for Malta Sears Moore will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Danny Williams officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until the service time.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
