Brian Christian Long slipped into his Savior's loving arms on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 in Hillside, Ill. after a long struggle with severe sleep apnea, chronic pain, and drug addiction. He was born in Franklin, Penn., the son of Samuel and Linda Malis Long of Lewisburg.

He graduated from high school in 1992 in Warren, Penn. and enlisted in the Air Force a year later. He was a heavy equipment operator stationed at Fairchild AFB Survival School, Wash. before being medically retired due to his knee injuries. He later attended the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, Penn, and lived in Bradford and Mt. Jewett, Penn. before moving to Momence, Ill. in 2006. He moved to Lewsburg in 2016. He was a great guy who would, literally, give you the shirt off his back.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Victoria (Adam) Myhre of Wood Dale, Ill. and three nieces whom he loved dearly: Amelia Quinn, Hazel Myhre, and Ruby Myhre. He will be missed by his immediate family, his many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as his girlfriend, Susie Shipanik of Chicago Ridge, Ill. and close friend Laurie Deem of Scenery Hill, Penn.

Viewing will be held at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green Street, Lewisburg Tuesday, Dec. 12, from 6-8 p.m. and at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 954 Stacker Street, Lewisburg, on Wednesday, Dec. 13, after 9 a.m.

The funeral service will be at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 954 Stacker Street, Lewisburg, on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 10 a.m.

Burial will be held at the Veterans' Cemetery, 5817 Ft. Campbell Blvd., Hopkinsville.
