Eunice Davenport, 97, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017 at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab in Russellville. She was a Logan County native, born July 8, 1920 to the late Marion Nash and Mammie Irene Harbison Nash. She was a homemaker, loved her family and was a wonderful mother. She was a former co-owner of Chapel Cabinets and member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Davenport; her son, Joel Davenport, and her grandson, Jeff Hinton.
She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Davenport and wife Evelyn of Russellville and Buford Davenport and wife Cathy of Auburn; her daughters, Rita Lambert and husband Jimmy of Greenbrier, Tenn. and Carolyn Sears and husband Gary of Russellville; and her grandchildren, Darla Spencer, Lance Davenport, Mike Davenport, Pam Slaughter, Lisa Young, Teresa King, William Lambert, Angela Bennett, Cheryl Chunn, Robert Hinton, David Hinton, Brittany Walker, Brad Davenport, Jason Davenport and Aaron Davenport; her 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Eunice Davenport will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Davenport and Bro. Bob Barnes officiating with burial to follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation at the church on Thursday will be held from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
