Mary Lee Chapman, 83, of Keysburg Road, Allensville, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. She was a Todd County native, born May 15, 1930 to Charles Edward Lawrence and Nell Scarborough Lawrence.She attended Bowling Green Business College, was a teacher’s aide for Olmstead School and a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother ~ Nell S. Lawrence ~ Russellville; her husband of 63 years ~ Thomas Al Chapman; her five daughters ~ Donna Allen ( Rick ) and Tommie Gail Bennett ( Mark ) ~ both of Russellville, Brenda Strickler ( Bud ) and Mary Sue Tarter ( David ) ~ both of Bowling Green, Darlene Watkins ( Bobby ) ~ Olmstead; her sister~ Charlene Webb ~ Pemberville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mary Lee Chapman will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Tharpe and Bro. Jimmy Chapman officiating with burial in Belmont Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday, April 1, from 5-8:00 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Wednesday until the funeral hour.
