Jimmie Warden, 68, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, Dec/ 19, 2017 at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville. He was a Logan County native, born March 11, 1949 to the late Claude Allen Warden and Roberta Marshall Warden. He worked in receiving at ITW and in the purchasing department of Valspar in Bowling Green.
He was of the Christian faith and served at Bible study teacher and song leader. His passion was his music, as he was the drummer for the Monarchs for over 25 years and played drums for various praise teams.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pat Warden; his daughters, Rhonda Johnson and husband Billy of Gerogetown and Brooke Johnson and husband Larry of Russellville; his brother, Billy Warden and wife Faye of Statham, Ga.; his grandchildren, Katy Whitford, Brianna Johnson, Keb Beasley and Olivia Gillis; and his great-grandchild, Rylen Carter.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Humble officiating. There will be no visitation before the service.
