Betty Shoemaker, 75, of West 7th Street, Russellville, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at her home. She was a Logan County native, born December 22, 1938 to the late Gordon Burchett and Elizabeth Duncan Burchett.  She was a Nurse Practitioner for Dr. Carlisle Dodson and a member of Post Oak Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Shoemaker; her son ~ Danny Shoemaker ~ Franklin; two daughters ~ Debbie Grise (Joe) ~ Russellville, and Barbara Mottley (Chris) ~ Bowling Green; two brothers ~ Dorris Burchett ~ Memphis, and Jackie Burchett ~ Russellville; her grandchildren ~ Krystal Carlock, D. J. Duncan and Daniel Shoemaker Jr.; her great-randchildren ~ Matthew Carlock, Carson Carlock, Logan Carlock and Ella Duncan

 

Funeral Services for Betty Shoemaker will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Wilbur Powell and Bro. John Franklin officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. 

Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday, April 12, from 4-8 p.m.. and after 8 a.m. on Sunday until the funeral hour of 2 p.m.

 
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Hospice of Southern Kentucky or the Heart & Lung Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
