Udell 'Luke' Wells, 94 of Lewisburg died on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Hearthstone Place in Elkton. He was born Tuesday, February 17, 1920 in Gordonsville, Kentucky, the son of the late Willis Wells and the late Opie Wells. He was the husband of the late Helen Barton Wells.
He was a store room clerk for Rockwell and a farmer. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of Green Ridge Baptist Church.
Surviving are his son, Ricky Lynn Wells (Cheryl) of Russellville; his daughter, Janis Kaye Anderson (Gary) of Lewisburg; two grandchildren, Leslie Ashby (Mark) of Russellville and David Wells of Russellville; five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at Green Ridge Baptist Church located at Highland Lick Road, Russellville with the Rev. Robert Tarence officiating. Interment will be in Green Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg. Visitation will also be from 8-11 a.m. on Monday, April 14 at Price Funeral Home, Inc and from 1-2 p.m. on Monday at Green Ridge Baptist Church.
