George F. Taylor, known as the Scooter Man, of McArthur Street, Russellville, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.He was a Logan County native, born Dec. 9, 1929 to the late Benjamin Franklin Taylor and Lily Frances Nash Taylor.  He worked for Russellville Concrete Products and was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Taylor; hid faughter ~ Joyce Ann Taylor Morgan ( David ) ~ Russellville; his stepson ~ David Earl Settle ( Mary Ann ) ~ Highland, Texas; five step-grandchildren and four step-great- grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

 


Funeral services for George F. Taylor will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, at the Gospel Tabernacle Church with Bro. Craig Jackson and Bro. Timothy Gidcumb officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.  Visitation at the church on Saturday will begin at 11 a.m. and last until the funeral hour at 2 p.m. 

Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Gospel Tabernacle Church. Envelopes will be available.
