Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home
Al Summers, 89, of Auburn, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab in Russellville. He was a Logan County native, born Oct. 22, 1928 to the late Gaither Summers and Lilly Floring Summers. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War, a farmer and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Carlee Summers; his brother, Molly Summers of Auburn; his sister, Ruth Nuckols of Valdosta, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Al Summers will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Chyle officiating with burial to follow in the Auburn Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
