Robert “Bob” Coursey, age 80 of Wildwood Drive, Russellville, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at the Clarksville Nursing and Rehab in Clarksville, Tennessee. He was a Logan County native born November 17, 1933 to the late Elmer Victor Coursey and Ila D. Brown Coursey.  He was a store manager for Sherwin Williams, a US Air Force Veteran and a member of First Baptist Church. 

He is survived by his wife, Jolene Gower Coursey

                        Linda Coursey Ellis ( Lester ) ~ Clarksville

 

1 Sister ~ Jean Porter ( H.D. ) ~ Bowling Green

 

2 Grandchildren ~ Priscilla Page

                              Victoria “Charley” Ellis

 

Several nieces, nephews and great nieces & nephews also survive.

 

He was preceded in death by a sister, Florene Snead and in 1998 by his wife of 42 years, Winona Coursey.

 

Funeral services for Robert “Bob” Coursey will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Buddy Crabtree and Bro. Eugene Reynolds officiating with burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.  Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home will be Wednesday, April 23 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. and Thursday at First Baptist Church from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm.

 

Pallbearers: Kent Porter, Rollie Porter, Lester Ellis, Ramsey Porter, Buford DeVasier and Mickey Meguiar
