Dewey Roche, 78, of Auburn, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at his home. He was born in Mount Carroll, Ill. on July 8, 1939 to the late Orvil Roche and Thelma Monn Roche. He was a US Army veteran, an auto dealer salesman and past Auburn mayor. He was an elder in the Auburn Presbyterian USA Church, member of the Optimist Club, and former member of the Logan Todd Regional Water Commission.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years. Jo Ann Roche; his sons, Matt Roche of Auburn and Keith Roche and wife Rene’ of Hanover, Ind.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Tony and Kevin Roche.
Memorial services for Dewey Roche will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Auburn Presbyterian USA Church with Rev. Helen Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from noon until the service hour.
