Eva Sanders Johnson, 97, of Bowling Green, formerly of Logan County. passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Colonial Center in Bowling Green. She was a Logan County native, born Nov. 9, 1920 to the late Lexie Oliver Insco and Charlotte Scarbrough Insco.
She was the lunch room manager for Chandlers School for 36 years and attended various churches in her time. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Therwin Sanders and R.K. Johnson.
She is survived by her son, Gary Sanders and wife Donna of Bowling Green; his grandsons, James Brian Sanders of Auburn and Christopher Nunn Sanders of Russellville; her great-grandchildren, Clesse De La Cruz, Craig Matthews, Cameron Sanders,Traie Matthews and McKenzie Young; and her great-great-great grandchildren, Alexis De La Cruz, Jason De La Cruzand Leena Matthews.
Funeral services for Eva Sanders Johnson will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Chyle officiating with burial to follow in the Lewisburg Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will continue Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorial donations may be made to Logan County Good Samaritan. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
