Pastor Edward Burchett, 87, of Orndorff Mill Road, Adairville, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his home. He was a Logan County native, born February 28, 1931 to the late Gene Edgar Burchett and Goldie Mae Allen Burchett. He was a farmer and founded the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic where he served as Pastor for 42 years.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Katherine Burchett; his sons, Johnny Burchett and wife Charlotte and Mark Burchett, all of Adairville; his daughters, Jo Ann Clinard and husband Jamie Of Russellville, and Kathy Johnson and husband Eddie, Sheila Scott and husband Johnny, and Penny Moore and husband Duane, all of Adairville; his brother, Len Burchett of Hopkinsville; his sisters, Bonnie Noe of Olmstead, Barbara Rogers of Elkton, and Gloria Jane Laurent of Bowling Green; 19 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Burchett, and his granddaughter, Tammy Poole.

Funeral services for Pastor Edward Burchett will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, at the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic with Bro. Roger Thaxton, Bro. Tony Stratton and Bro. John Paul Scott officiating with burial to follow in Greenw Cemetery in Adairville.

Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home will be held Monday, May 21, from 5-8 p.m. and visitation at the church on Tuesday will be held from 1 p.m. until the service hour.

Memorial donations may be made to the Church Jesus Christ Apostolic. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
