Cheryl Louise Bond Karay, 70, of Bowling Green, was born to the late James and Myrtle Williams Bond of Russellville on June 9, 1947 and went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 26, 2018. Cheryl's smile and sweet spirit touched the life of everyone she met. She loved traveling, gardening and had a true servant's heart.
Previously she was an owner and partner in two businesses in Bowling Green: Western Kentucky Break Time Coffee Service & Around the World Travel Agency, as well as several entrepreneur endeavors. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was of the Baptist faith, an Olmstead High School graduate and member of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, John Jaray; her son, Matthew Hunt (Ashley) of Lewisburg; her daughter, Veronica Poteet (Scott) of Lewisburg; her granddaughter, McKenzie Poteet of Bowling Green; and her brothers, James Bond and wife Penny of Bowling Green, Mark Bond and wife Lynn of Paducah, and Dwight Bond and wife Alicia of Smyrna, Tenn.
Funeral services for Cheryl Louise Bond Karay will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Mark Bond, Dwight Bond, James Bond and Dana Reed officiating with burial to follow in Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held Wednesday, May 30, from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until the service hour of 11.
