Edward C. “Ed” Holloway, 78, of Clarksville Road, Russellville, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 at his home. He was a Logan County native, born September 5, 1935 to the late Alvie Loving Holloway and Ruth Ellen Hankins Holloway. He was the owner of Ed’s Barbecue, an Air Force veteran and a member of Dripping Springs Baptist Church.
He was survived by two sons ~ Chuck Holloway and Barry Holloway, both of Russellville; two daughters ~ Lee Ann Yates (Stoney) and Faye Latham, both of Russellville; three brothers ~ Jerry Holloway, Garnett Holloway and Johnny Holloway, all of Russellville; three sisters ~ Linda Celsor, Brenda Gorrell and
Sandra Spears, all of Russellville; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his son, David Holloway.
Funeral Services for Edward C. “Ed” Holloway will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Noffsinger officiating. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Wednesday, May 28, from 5-8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. on Thursday until the funeral hour of 2 p.m.
