Jewel R. Davidson, 93 of Cahokia, Ill., born on June 12, 1925 in Penrod, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, at his residence.
Mr. Davidson was a U.S. Navy and U.S. Army veteran. He retired as CEO of Vocational Training Center in St. Louis, Mo. and was a member of First Baptist Church in Dupo, ll.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Casaundra Davidson: his parents, Burrough and Orel, nee Matherly, Davidson; a sister, Del Tully; and two brothers, Walt and John Davidson.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Norma Davidson; his children, Rev. Jack R. (Michelle) Davidson of Los Angeles, Deborah L. (Ron) Oestricker of Cahokia, Ill., Daniel (Kerry) Davidson of Kimberling, Mo.. and Catherine Davidson of Pacific, Mo.; his grandchildren, Ronnie, Rich, Elizabeth, Jared, Noah, Benjamin, Christopher, Melissa, Krystal, Danielle, Nicole, Kari, Caleb, and Paul; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Dupo, Ill. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Reverend Roger Reid and Reverend Jack Davidson officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.
