Lillian Sharp Slaughter, 93, of Lewisburg, died on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at her residence. She was born Monday, April 11, 1921, the daughter of the late Henry Sharp and the late Minnie Baugh Sharp. She was the wife of the late J.C. Slaughter. She was a homemaker and member of Wileys Chapel United Methodist Church.

Surviving are daughters, Geraldine Driskill and Sharon Wells (Clarence), all of Lewisburg; her brother, Clarence Sharp of Lewisburg, her sister, Clyda Smith of Joelton, Tenn.; 5 grandchildren; Kerry and Michelle Driskill of Lewisburg, Karen and Stanley Ballard of Lewisburg, Greg and Sandy Wells of Guthrie, Clint and Elizabeth Wells of Pleasant View, Tenn. and Loretta and Nathan Stokes of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by brothers, Bland Sharp and Verner (Bubbie) Sharp.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Wileys Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Shane Hessey officiating. Interment will be in Wileys Chapel Cemetery, Lewisburg. The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, and again on Thursday from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, and from noon until the time of service on Thursday at the church.
