Glenn McGehee, Sr. 80, of Russellville, passed away on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018 at his home. He was a Todd County native, born Nov. 5, 1938 to the late Clay Sanfort McGehee and Clemmie Willis McGehee. He was a member of Crittenden Drive Church of Christ where he served as elder for 26 years.
He was a graduate of Western Kentucky University where he received numerous degrees including his Rank 1. He taught school in Adairville for seven years, was principal for Burgin High, in Burgin, Ky., then served as principal of the Russellville Middle School for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris McGehee; his son, Glenn McGehee Jr. and wife Leslie of Franklin, Tenn.; his daughter, Kelly Jenkins and husband Elmer of Russellville; his sisters, LaThell Dymacek and husband David and Glenn Dorris and husband Freeman, all of Bowling Green; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services for Glenn McGehee Sr. will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, at Crittenden Drive Church of Christ with Glenn McGehee Jr. officiating and burial to follow in Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Lewisburg.
Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home will be held Wednesday, from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday at the Church from noon until the time of the service.
Memorial donations may be made to the Crittenden Drive Church of Christ Benevolence Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
