Betty Jo Snorton Dickerson, 82, of Adairville died Nov. 28, 2018 at Hopkins Nursing Center. She was born Dec. 7, 1935, the daughter of the late Carrie C. and Virginia Cole Snorton. She wored at Emerson Electric and was an usher and deaconess at Selectman Chapel AME Church.
Mrs. Dickerson is survived by her husband, Henry Dickerson of Adairville; her sons, Louis Snorton, David Dickerson and wife Marilyn; and Donnie Dickerson and wife Frenchelle, all of Russellville; her daughter, Tina Dowlen and husband Tony of Adairville; her brother, Marvin Snorton of Nashville; her sister, Ruth Washington of Adairville; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; devoted friend Annie Lou Dickerson of Adairville; and caregiver Thelma Thomas of Adairville.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Henry Dickerson Jr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. at Selectman Chapel AME Church in Adairville with Rev. Phillip Washington officiating. Burial will be in Maplelawn Cemetery in Adairville.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. at the church and last until time for the service.
