Francis Gerald "Jerry" Blackwell II, 69, of Lewisburg, passed away on Dec. 7, 2018 in Robertson County due to an automobile accident.
Jerry was born in Richmond, Va. to Francis G. Blackwell and Frances Reid Blackwell on Nov. 28, 1949. He went to school at Atlantic Christian College (Barton College) in Wilson, N.C. He married Deborah on May 17, 2009 in Gatlinburg, Tenn. He worked at H & H Sheet Metal in Russellville. He was a member of The Gathering Church of Vanleer, Tenn.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Francis Gerald Blackwell of North Carolina.
Jerry is survived by his spouse, Deborah C. Blackwell of Lewisburg; his two sons, Benjamin Martin Blackwell and Christopher Nathan Blackwell of North Carolina; hiis step-children, Adam Gafford (Lori) of Lewisburg, April Hunt (Jeremy) of Los Angeles, and Atlee Gafford (Emily) of Overland Park, Kan., his mother, Frances Reid Blackwell of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; his aunt, Phyllis ‘Diddie’ Blackwell of Virginia; his siblings, Judy Laughridge (Palmer) of Wilson, N.C, Steve Blackwell (Gina) of Chapel Hill, N.C,, Bill Blackwell (Debbie) of Chapel Hill; his 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, at Price Funeral Home in Lewisburg. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of service, 4 p.m. at 252 E Green St, Lewisburg.
There will also be a memorial service held in North Carolina, details on this service to come.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to cover expenses at Price Funeral Home.
