Norene H. Pursley, 91, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab. She was a Logan County native, born Jan. 24, 1927 to the late Wallace Holman and Violette Gass Holman. She worked for Red Kap and was a member of Center Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurmond Eugene Pursley; her daughter, Lynne Anne Hudson; her granddaughter, LaTonya Pursley; her brothers, Alton Holman, Frank Holman and Doug Holman; and her sisters, Maxola Holman and Nancy Cole.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Pursley and wife Gayle of Mobile, Ala., and Kevin Pursley and wife Jackie of Russellville; her daughter, Karen Harrison of Trenton; her sister, Annie Nash of Russellville; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Norene H. Pursley will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Don E. White and Lloyd Houchens officiating with burial to follow in Center Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Wednesday, Jan. 9, from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until the service hour.
