John Edward Heatherly, 80, of Greenville, died on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.
He was born Sunday, Oct. 23, 1938 in Springfield, the son of the late Willard Heatherly and the late Clure Travis Heatherly. He was the husband of Serena Heatherly, who survives.
He had been a truck driver for DNE Trucking and was an artist.
He served in the Marine Corp and was a Veteran of Korea.
Also surviving are his sons, Charles Mitchell Heatherly of Franklin, Jeffrey Scott Heatherly of Franklin and Timothy Wayne Heatherly of Gallatin; his brothers, Richard H. Heatherly of Portland and H.L. Heatherly of Castalian Springs, Tenn..; his sister, Elizabeth Anderson of Cedar Hill, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, with Dr. Richard Heatherly officiating. Interment will be in Fitzhugh Cemetery, Lewisburg.
The family will receive friends after noon on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, at Price Funeral Home.
