Virginia Burr Hart, 97, of Lewisburg passed away Feb. 2, 2019 at her home.
Virginia was born in Logan County on May 26. 1921, the daughter of Walter and Lois Cook Burr. She was raised in Robertson County, Tenn. She was a graduate of Middleton High School and married Wallace Hart in 1942.
Virginia was a member of Elk Lick Baptist Church and was a part of the Baptist Missionary organizations for 85 years. She was a warm and sociable person who enjoyed entertaining friends and cooking for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years, Wallace Hart; her infant son, Tony Glenn Hart; and her siblings, Margaret Burr, Gertrude Graef and Russell Burr.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Caroline Gibson (Roger) of Rockfield; her sons, Ron Hart (Brenda) of Central City and Terry Hart (Barbara) and Jerry Hart (Claudia), all of Lewisburg. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Virginia Hart will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 5-8 p.m. at Price Funeral Home, Inc. 252 East Green St. in Lewisburg. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 27, at 11 a/m.with Bro. Art Hatfield and Bro. Glynn Copeland officiating at Price Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow at Elk Lick Baptist Church Cemetery in Spa.
