Rufus Alvin Tanner Jr., 68, of Russellville, died on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville.
He was born Sunday, January 14, 1951, the son of the late Rufus Tanner and the late Elizabeth Riley Tanner.
He was a retired crane operator for Logan Aluminum and was a gifted songwriter.
Surviving are his son, Josh Tanner of Russellville; his daughter, Jamie Tanner of Russellville; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg.
The family has chosen cremation to follow the visitation with no public funeral service.
