Ten people averaged appearing in at least a dozen stories per year in the first four years of The Logan Journal. The top 25 people averaged a minimum of nine stories per year.

The Logan Journal came into existence Feb. 1, 2009, so the year runs each Feb. 1-Jan. 31.

The LoJo indexes the names in all stories annually. A list of those stories during the first three years can be found in the Index section plus in September 12 Articles for the first half of the fourth year and in February 13 Articles for the second half of last year.

Russellville High School junior Barrett Croslin moved into first place for the four years in late January. He was a member of the 2009 Little League All-Star team which played in the World Series. Since then he has started four years in varsity baseball and two each in football and basketball. He passed former RHS three-sport standout D.J. Quarles by a story. Quarles was the leader after years two and three.

The top 10 were Croslin, Quarles, Amber Sydnor, Coach Scot MacAllister, Twin Lancaster, DeVonte Bryant, Torin Graham, Coach John Myers, Jordan Kennedy and Coach Ethan Meguiar. All are involved in sports, although Myers is also a school administrator.

The top non-sports figure was Rep. Martha Jane King, who finished in 12th place behind Coach Dennis Pardue with 45 stories. Joining them in the top 25 have been Coach Dedra Adler, Victor Hampton, Ashley Bland, Coach Harold Tackett, Ben Wright, Coach Phil Todd, Zach Hines, Markita Pheal, Davis Pardue, Kevin Temple, Lon Sosh, Landon Stratton, Avrey Collier and Ryan Harper, all of whom have averaged nine or more stories per year.

Only Croslin, Sydnor, Graham, Kennedy, Wright, Hines and Stratton are still in high school.

The 10 leaders among people not directly involved in sports now were King, Sosh, Darlene Gooch, Gov. Steve Beshear, Al Smith, Marvinia Benton, Judge Logan Chick, James Milam, Sen. Joey Pendleton and Congressman Ed Whitfield.

Fifty people averaged seven or more stories per year (28) with 195 averaging three or more each year.
