With the new school year often comes new faces, and this year is no different at Logan County High School. This year, the school welcomes eight new faculty members of varying degrees of experience and expertise.
Todd Adler is in his first year teaching. Coach Adler teaches PE at LCHS and serves as the school’s head football coach as well as assistant athletic director. A 2004 LCHS graduate, his post-secondary work has been at Western Kentucky University and the University of the Cumberlands. He is married to LCHS Ladies Basketball coach and instructor Dedra Adler; they have three children: Brea Croslin, and Brenley, & Brett Adler. Away from school, Mr. Adler enjoys coaching football and attending sporting events.
Ann-Meguiar Bouldin, a 2017 LCHS graduate, returns to begin her teaching career as a sophomore English instructor. She earned a BA in Secondary English Education from Western Kentucky University. Away from school, Ms. Bouldin enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and beekeeping with her family.
Leigh Ellen Bristow comes to LCHS with 12 years of teaching math at Todd County Central High School. She holds both a Bachelors in Secondary Education- Mathematics, and a Masters in Curriculum Instruction from the University of Kentucky. Ms. Bristow has been married to Craig Bristow for 13 years; they have two boys: Parker and Cooper. Away from the classroom, she enjoys sports, excising, and reading.
Michael Elliot is a 1987 LCHS graduate returning to teach special education and serves as an assistant football coach. He is a graduate from Western Kentucky University. Mr. Elliot has been married to Beth Elliot for 29 years. When away from LCHS, he enjoys playing music, fishing, and coaching youth sports.
Lilly Golden begins her teaching career teaching freshman English at LCHS. She earned a BA in English for Secondary Instructors from Western Kentucky University. Away from school, Ms. Golden enjoys reading, hiking, and being outdoors.
Sarah Lyons teaches junior English at LCHS. She earned a BA in English for Secondary Instructors from Western Kentucky University. Ms. Lyons is engaged to marry her fiancé, Josh, and enjoys reading, collaging, gaming, and hanging out with close friends.
Ben Matthews is a first-year teacher, teaching Integrated Science. He comes to LCHS with a degree in Biology from Western Kentucky University. Mr. Matthews’s hobbies include fishing, basketball, and video games.
Susan Morgan brings 23 years of teaching science experience from Bowling Green and Warren County to LCHS. She earned a BS Chemistry/Biology (1985), BS Medical Technology (1986), Secondary Teaching Certification (1998), and MAE Chemistry (2005), all from Western Kentucky University; she is also National Board Certified in Chemistry (2009), recertified (2019). Ms. Morgan is engaged to be married in April and enjoys reading, on-line Scrabble, dinosaurs, and dogs—but has a cat.
Logan County High School is off to a great start this year. The faculty, staff, and administrators are excited about our new faculty members and the possibilities the school year presents.
