The Saddle Factory Artisan Museum will host a photographic exhibition entitled “Village Life and Beyond,” featuring award winning images by Karen Flowers. The opening with introductions and ribbon cutting will be held on Friday, July 5 at 10:30 a.m. The exhibit will also be open on Saturday, July 6.
Karen Flowers, the daughter of Bill and Anne Flowers of Russellville, is an acclaimed and award winning photographer. Her work has been exhibited and sold throughout the United States and internationally. Her recent international award was a Gold medal in the “Emotions” category in the prestigious EPCI 2012 International Competition, and she attended the awards ceremony in Cairo, Egypt where she now resides.
Other photographic exhibits of her work this year will be in Oakland, Cal., Scottsdale, Ariz., and Cairo, Egypt.
This amazing collection of images will be for sale. Included will be several of her photographs of Historic Russellville. All proceeds from this and the coming exhibitions will be used to help fund the building of a girls’ school in the village spotlighted in the exhibition.
