Kaylah Hadden is a Success Coach at the Franklin-Simpson Center of Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College and aims to help students succeed in every way possible. Whether it’s assisting new and incoming students with registering for classes or providing support to help them navigate college life, Kaylah makes sure they have everything they need to thrive at SKYCTC.

The Logan County resident is also the current face of the highly respected SKY FAME program.

"I work closely with our SKY FAME students, walking with them every step of the way—from the application process and interviews, through their five semesters in the program, and celebrating with them as they graduate. I’ve been in this role for a year and a half, and I truly enjoy being there for students and cheering them on in their successes and offering support when things get tough. Watching them grow, achieve their goals, and accomplish more than they ever thought they could is the best part of what I do!" she said in an interview for a Black History feature published by SKYCT

For Kaylah, Black History is "the testament of where we came from and how we are here today. While the history is marked with dark times and trials beyond anyone’s imagination, the hope in black history is the victories and accomplishments that came out of such hardship. The evidence of the work of African Americans throughout history is in every aspect of the word we live in today. While there may not have been recognition or acknowledgment of those achievements in its time, we look back with an appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and drive of those that have gone before us.

“Celebrating black history is to no longer let the darkest season of a people’s history overshadow the victories and accomplishments that came from the fight for freedom, human rights, and equality."

Kaylah and her husband Wesley, who is a graduate of Logan County High School, live in North Logan.
