The LoJo

Here’s what the Chamber website has to say about this year’s Festival:

The 57th Annual Logan County Tobacco & Heritage Festival is set and ready to go! Is it a festival? Is it a homecoming? It’s both! For 57 years, Logan Countians have rolled out the welcome mat for native sons and plenty of visitors during the Logan County Tobacco & Heritage Festival. From the first Saturday thru the second Saturday in Oct., thousands of people participate in the Festival.

If you’re in the active crowd, come run or walk in the Jesse James 5K, the 1 –Mile Senior Stroll, The Family Fun Run/Walk Color Splash Dash, or swing a club in the Golf Scramble. If shopping is more your thing, enjoy the 150+ craft and flea market booths.

“Spectating” is always a favorite – come watch the parade in historic downtown Russellville, a re-enactment of the Jesse James Bank Robbery of 1868, live music on the Square, karaoke, or one of the pageants.

And, hey, who doesn’t love some good ol’ festival food? Everything from famous ribeye sandwiches, the great polish sausages, to almost anything you can think of deep-fried on a stick - we got it!

The theme for the 2013 Tobacco & Heritage Festival is “The Beat Goes On. . .” For many this theme brings about thoughts of music, laughter, and fun. For others, it symbolizes the nearly 60 years of Festivals that have celebrated the rich heritage and progressive acts of Logan County, and how we continue to come together as family.

We invite you and your family to join us Oct. 5-12, 2013! Pick your event(s) and enjoy a piece of Logan County history. For more information call 270-726-2206.
